Waxed cotton cord has been delicately handwoven using a macramé technique, with a double row of tulsi beads placed either side of the charm.

In Indian culture Tulsi (Holy Basil) is believed to purify the body, calm the mind and reduce stress. This sacred plant is said to give an overall health boost due to its spiritual and physical healing power.

Tulsi beads, made out of the dried stem and branch of the plant, are used to make Indian malas, a string of beads, to support meditative practice.
